PB 4: Paderborner Westschleife

The approximately 32-kilometre excursion starts at the cycle route information display case on the western Maspernplatz near the children's playground on the inner city ring road. The tour is signposted as "PB 4", i.e. "Paderborn Tour 4".
It first leads along the inner city ring road, then through Riemekepark and past the Westfriedhof cemetery westwards out of the city to the district of Wewer. From there, it heads north past the "Haus Widey" social therapy training center and the villages of Scharmede and Bentfeld to Lake Lippe. The route follows the northern shore of the Lippesee to Schloß Neuhaus and continues through the Paderauen back to the starting point.

Take the A 33 freeway to the Pad.-Zentrum or Pad.-Schloß Neuhaus exit; then head towards Paderborn Innenstadt. Stay on the inner ring road (Innenstadtring) in the direction of PaderHalle or Maspernplatz (if necessary, follow the parking guidance system). Turn into Maspernplatz via Hathumarstraße.

Parking for cars is available at Maspernplatz on the edge of Paderborn city center (destination address for the navigation system: Heiersmauer 45, 33098 Paderborn). There are usually plenty of parking spaces there.

Take the city bus lines (PaderSprinter) 5, 6, 11, 12 to the "Maspernplatz" stop.
