Former officers' mess

The town of Minden had the "Offiziers-Speise-Anstalt" built in 1905/06 for the field army regiment no. 58.

The building, which looks like an upper-class villa in Wilhelmine style, was designed by the Berlin architect F. Gottlob.

After 1933, the SA Standarte 2 used the building. From 1962-85 it housed the city archives. The lavish interior of the former public rooms has been largely preserved.
