This moor is one of the most unique and species-rich ecosystems in the Spreewald. Due to its abundance of water and its climate, the Spreewald offers optimum conditions for peat-forming vegetation, which allows moorland to develop.
On the path north-west of Raddusch you can find out a lot about the different moor types and the flora and fauna as well as historical facts about how the landscape was formed. As a guide, we recommend the relevant flyer with route map. There are QR codes at the key information points along the route.
The Moor Nature Trail is 13.5 kilometres and can be explored either by bicycle (approximately 1 hour) or on foot (approximately 3.5 hours). Please note that when you enter the moorlands, you do so at your own risk and you must observe the rules of conduct that apply in a nature reserve.
The nature trail can be explored independently or on a guided bicycle tour.
