The granite block, hollowed out precisely according to the artist's body shapes, is the remaining testimony to a sensational performance. Timm Ulrichs spent ten hours enclosed in this stone in a position of absolute rest. For a limited time, the organic and inorganic became one, the stone was imbued with life, the body embedded in the hardening of the earth's history.
