#kunstsichtbar
Since June 12, artists from Osnabrück have been designing advertising columns throughout the city. With their themes, they are occupying a space that is otherwise reserved for the commercial messages of advertising. This year, the columns were designed as part of the “Kulturextras nature.culture.future.” to mark the 100th anniversary of the “Grüne Finger.”
Those interested are therefore encouraged to keep their eyes open to observe the creative process, which will be completed in time for the Long Night of the Studios on Saturday, June 20. The advertising columns will be on display in public spaces until July 2.
Charlotte Dally’s work can be seen at Alte Poststraße 19 and Hackländerstraße. At Berliner Platz, near Goethering, Almuth Bennet is showcasing a selection from her upcoming exhibition at the Stadthaus. Sherin Ithaiyakumaran presents a landscape featuring an imposing waterfall on Erich-Maria-Remarque-Ring across from Karlsstraße. At Goethering/Klusstraße, Alexej Eisner presents an artistic advertising column. A collaborative project by Katrin Lazaruk & Franziska Fritz from studio fritzko can be seen at Gustav-Heinemann-Platz/Augustenburger Straße. Arsentij Pawlow is exhibiting a scene of farm work at Hasetorwall/Turnerstraße, and Jens Raddatz can be seen at Heger-Tor-Wall/Rolandsmauer. Lothar Nordmann presents a mixed-media work on Iburger Straße, near Spichernstraße, across the street. Artist Henning Bischof displays his work “Umblättern” as a wraparound acrylic painting on Martinistraße, near Am Kirchenkamp. Artist Regine Wolff’s work on “nature.culture.future.” can be seen at Martinistraße/Heger-Tor-Wall. Kerstin Hehmann’s advertising column addresses the themes of climate change, sustainability, and integration as part of the “no country for old trees” series on Rehmstraße and Hoffmeyerplatz. As part of #kunstsichtbar, Mika Springwald’s street art piece can be seen at Schlosswall 8–10, near Schnatgang.
With the kind support of Ströer.

In 2026, the City of Osnabrück will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the “Green Fingers.” This unique system of open spaces owes its existence largely to the vision of City Planning Commissioner Senator Friedrich Lehmann and continues to shape the cityscape to this day. With a new charter and action plans based on it, the city is now setting the course for the protection, preservation, and further development of the “Green Fingers”—for climate-resilient and green urban development in the coming decades.
