hase fließt

Exhibition
Bund Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler Osnabrück (BBK)

The Osnabrück Association of Visual Artists (BBK) is now showing an extensive group exhibition at the Museum im Kloster. Twelve artists responded to the call for participation under the motto "hase fließt". The exhibition has now been opened in Bersenbrück to great acclaim.

Musically, those present were put in the mood for the theme with electronic compositions by Bert Fleißig alias "Feinstrom". With splashing water and digital sounds, he created his own imaginative interpretation of the exhibition theme.

For the district of Osnabrück, Deputy District Administrator Werner Lager welcomed the guests to the museum barn. In a joint speech with Katharina Pfaff from the district's cultural office, he thanked the BBK for the excellent cooperation with the district's own museum.

"There could not have been a better venue for this successful art exhibition with a direct link to the Hase River than the Museum im Kloster, which is located directly on the Mühlenumflut," emphasized Lager. He was referring to the topic of mills, which is currently being worked on for a future exhibition by the Kreisheimatbund Bersenbrück (KHBB), which is closely integrated into the everyday life of the museum as a cooperation partner of the district. Lager also expressed his thanks for this voluntary commitment.

The chairwoman of the BBK, Regine Wolff, introduced the audience to the exhibition theme and the individual works. The river Hase served as the starting point and inspiration for the exhibition. It was taken up as a connecting and creative element of the homeland, but was also used as a play on words, for example in an interpretation of the game Stadt-Land-Fluss or as the animal of the same name.

The following artists are represented in the exhibition: Ludwig Burandt, Kerstin Hehmann, Petra Höcker, Joachim Jurgelucks, Eva Lause, Lizchen Myller, Lothar Nordmann, Ulrike Schönfelder-Hellwig, Katharina Stöber, Jürgen Wendt, Mechthild Wendt and Regine Wolff. An accompanying script with background information on the works and artists is available in the museum.

The exhibition can be seen on the top floor of the museum until September 13. On 17 May, the BBK will be taking part in International Museum Day with a curatorial tour and creative program. In addition, further guided tours will be offered on June 14, July 19 and August 16 at 3 pm. The museum is open Thursdays to Saturdays from 2 to 5 pm, Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is free on the first Saturday of every month.
