Mehr als nur Clean-Up-Spaziergang

Have you thrown anything away today? What actually happens to your old yogurt pot - and how can it be turned into something valuable again? During the clean-up walk and the subsequent visit to our laboratories at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, you will learn how plastic is recycled and reprocessed - to see, understand and participate.

We will start with a joint kick-off at the DBU exhibition "Jetzt geht's rund". From there we will start our clean-up walk. On the way, we will not only throw plastic waste into the bag, but also take a closer look at the value of plastic.
After collecting it, we will head to the laboratories at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Exciting hands-on activities in plastics processing await you here. The central question is: What can actually be made from the collected materials?
At the end of the morning, we will enjoy a well-earned barbecue together.
All the necessary materials will be provided. The event and the vegetarian barbecue are free of charge. However, we ask you to register.

The clean-up walk was initiated by researchers from the Plastics Technology Laboratory at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and takes place in cooperation with the German Federal Environmental Foundation, the NEO university initiative, and the Fit4Growth transfer projects (funded by zukunft.niedersachsen, a funding program of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and the Volkswagen Foundation) and GROWTH (funded as part of the "Innovative University" funding initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Joint Science Conference).
