Greener Pastures

A crazy comedy with a cast that includes some of Israel's most popular actors. Dov is a 75-year-old widower who lives in a nursing home where he feels like an inmate in prison. He dreams of buying back his old house, but he is broke, has lost his pension and blames the country. When he realizes that everyone in the nursing home is using state-sponsored medical cannabis, he finds his way out by selling cannabis, which he gets from his other housemates. When love, the police and the local mafia get involved, Dov finds himself at a dicey crossroads.

Dov Glickman began his career in the early 70s at the theater in the Israeli city of Haifa before stepping in front of the camera for the first time. Together with Moni Monoshov, Gidi Gov and Shlomo Baraba, Dov Glickman rose to fame with Zehu Ze!, the most successful satirical program in Israeli television history. Since 2020, Zehu Ze! has been produced again with the old cast and has enjoyed great popularity, as it did between 1978 and 1998. Dov Glickman has also starred in feature films and productions for television and streaming services such as Shtisel, Big Bad Wolves and many more. He has been nominated and awarded for his acting performances at national and international film festivals.
