Music Summer Artland 2025

The Artland Big Band (ART-BB), under the direction of Dieter Schlüwe and the Chorforum Quakenbrück, under the direction of Lutz Penning hunting horn players and many, many instrumental soloists from the Artland show their skills. Clarinet solos such as Vittorio Monti's Czardas, Antonio Piazzolla on the accordion, or Zirkus Renz on the xylophone, are just as much a part of it as hunting signals in a large hunting song potpourri or the operetta melodies from "My Fair Lady"! All performed by soloists from the Artland region. The ART-BB gave numerous performances between 2008 and 2015. At the state music festival in Harsum in 2015, this big band was awarded the rating "with very good success"! It will be back in a new formation for the Artland Music Summer 2025!
