Over the Limberg to the Zeppelinstein and past Lake Haase
This hiking trail runs almost exclusively on firm, easily accessible paths through the forest and in large parts also on the supra-local "Ahornweg". The trail leads over the Limberg to the "Zeppelinstein", where the airship "Deutschland" landed in the trees on June 28, 1910. The airship had originally set off from Düsseldorf on its maiden voyage, which was scheduled to fly over the Rhine-Main region. However, a bad weather report caused a change of course towards the Teutoburg Forest, where the zeppelin was nevertheless stranded in the treetops under heavy rain, hailstones and snow - in June! - stranded in the treetops. Fortunately, only one passenger was injured. The "Zeppelin Stone" commemorates this event
