Decorative market stalls, historic crafts and hearty delights
Pickert, sauerkaut and hearty country delicacies are all part of the experience when Bad Essen celebrates life as it was 100 years ago. The historical market here is really something special: exhibitors showcase historical crafts such as basket weaving, weaving, wood turning, clog making, blacksmithing, lace making and blue printing. Pretty market stalls with homemade jam, bread, cheese and sausage invite you to browse. And on all days, there is a folk stage program and dancing on the church square until midnight.
