Correct on the go – all the time:
- Beware of falling trees and deadwood! The use of the path is at your own risk. At strong wind please leave the forest for safety reasons!
- Path regulations in order to protect endangered plants and animals in certain areas of the national park
- Please do not leave any trash! Dog poop bags or handkerchiefs do not belong in nature either. Please help to keep our wild forest clean. Thank you!

From Lake Rachel, it's a great idea to continue your hike to Racheldiensthütte. From there, you can easily return to Spiegelau using the Igelbus (see public transportation information)!
The ‘Ahorn’ (Maple) trail can also be combined with other hiking routes to create a circular hike!

- Take the 'Ahorn' (Maple) trail from Spiegelau to Lake Rachel, and then take the ‘Buntspecht' (Spotted woodpecker) trail to Racheldiensthütte. From there, you can either take the Igelbus back or hike back to Spiegelau via the ‘Steinpilz' (Boletus) trail and the Hauptwanderweg (Main Hiking Path (marked as 'Baumgruppe' (group of trees)).
