National park information point in Wolfstein Castle
The national park information point is in the most important historic building of district Freyung-Grafenau, in Wolfstein Castle. The landmark of city Freyung houses the hunting and fishing museum Jagd-Land-Fluss, which was elaborately updated in 2014, and an interesting gallery.
The museum displays the topics ecology, nature und cultural history in a modern and interactive way. The information point is in a side wing of the castle, in the former tavern. Bavarian Forest National Park and Bavarian Forest Nature Park are vividly presented there, alongside their Czech neighbours: Šumava National Park and Protected Landscape.
