Rachel chapel

Look-out Church

The chapel, first built in 1885, rises above Rachelsee on an outcrop.

The small chapel - completely made of wood - was rebuilt entirely after several fires. Inside, you can find ornaments of woodcarver Johann Lentner from Spiegelau. Most recently, the shingled roof was renewed completely in 2016. Thanks to its location on a ledge, visitors do not only have a good view of the Rachelsee below, but also towards the final summit ridges.
