Open jam session to join in
For years, the Artland Musicians' Forum has been part of the "Theaterwerkstatt Quakenbrück e.V." association, with which it has worked intensively from the very beginning.
The forum for joint music-making and performance opportunities is intended to promote musicians and bands in Artland and enrich the regional music scene. The musicians' forum is an integral part of the Theaterwerkstatt, which sees it as a good opportunity to open its stage for concerts and thus close this cultural gap in Quakenbrück.
"We are a nice group of amateur musicians who simply want to make music together and have fun doing it. And we are happy to welcome anyone who wants to join us," emphasizes Patrick Bertram. All styles of music are represented, from rock, pop, blues, jazz and folk. The age of the musicians doesn't matter either, and 10-year-old blues musicians have been seen on stage being cheered on by an enthusiastic fan club.
At the sessions in the Theaterwerkstatt, which take place every 6-8 weeks, anyone can play, sing or simply listen.
The sessions and concerts in the Theaterwerkstatt are open to the public and admission is free. This is an excellent opportunity to listen to a few bands without obligation and have a drink and meet people in a nice atmosphere.
