Open-air museum with houses built in the Viking age

The Viking Museum Haithabu is one of the most important archaeological museums in Germany. Unesco designated the Viking trading site and the Danewerk frontier structure as a World Heritage Site in 2018. The exhibition house as well as the seven reconstructed houses located on the historic site impressively show how people lived there in the early Middle Ages.
