The Bootshafen offers next to the Holstenstraße a place to relax and enjoy.

The boat harbour testifies until today the former half island location of Kiel's historic centre. Originally it formed a branch of the fjord with the small Kiel, which almost completely surrounded the historic centre. For centuries trading ships landed in this area and goods were transshipped. 
  
Today the boat harbour is a place with a high quality of life, where events are regularly organized.
