The Kieler Schauspielhaus in Holtenauer Straße has room for over 400 spectators.

Here, classical works of stage literature, productions of contemporary plays, guest performances and world premieres are staged.
The theatre looks back on an eventful history: in 1907, the theatre in Holtenauer Straße was opened as Kiel's second stage at the time, alongside the magnificent Stadttheater (today's opera house). Initially, the repertoire included comedy, operetta and farce. From 1949 onwards, a cinema was housed here for five years.From 1996-98, the historic building was renovated and modernised. The theatre has excellent acoustics and modern, functional stage technology.
On the upper floor of the building is the Studio, the second, smaller stage of the Kieler Schauspielhaus. Up to 100 spectators can experience an evening of theatre in an intimate atmosphere here.

At the back of the Schauspielhaus there are few public parking spaces with time and without time restrictions. With a lot of luck there is also a place at the Holtenauer Str.
