Chäligang via ferrata - Adelboden

The starting point of the route is the valley station of Bergbahnen Engstligenalp AG. After about 20 minutes of easy walking, the ascent to the via ferrata begins. Along the Chäligang, secured by rope, you head towards the sky. The path is easy, the view of the Engstlig valley below and the village of Adelboden is characterized by colorful impressions.

Certain sections demand great concentration from the climber, as they are repeatedly distracted by the constant companion, the Engstligfall waterfall. A viewpoint directly above the Engstligfall offers the chance to experience nature with all the senses.

After the more difficult rocky sections, the route winds along a wide rock ledge up to the Edelweiss-Hubel. Even the name promises a natural spectacle. Hundreds of protected flowers thrive here alongside other rare plants. Botany becomes an experience in nature. Here we meet the official mountain trail again and the secured route ends.

Over the flower-filled alpine meadows, the path continues up to the mountain station of Engstligenalp. Along the way, you can relax in one of the two mountain inns, letting the impressions soak in while enjoying a refreshment.

From Engstligenalp you return by cable car to the starting point.
