The historical urban park: A 200-year-old citizens' park.
The urban park connects the Günzburg city center with the landscape along the Danube and is a place full of history and relaxation. 200 years ago, it was created by the citizens of Günzburg for the citizens of Günzburg: The original planning society first acquired the land and, over the years, developed a civic park that attracted walkers from near and far in the 19th century.
Today, the renovated park is a protected monument and offers a perfect mix of relaxation and experience. Information boards tell the fascinating history of the park, while children can play on the spacious playground. A special highlight is the romantic wooden pavilion, which serves as a unique venue for weddings.
Of the once numerous beer gardens, only the "Traubenkeller" on Dillinger Street is still in operation – another historic place that invites visitors to relax.
