Spring

The Hainbach is a stream of about 33km, which rises at the Roßberg in the Pfälzerwald and finally flows (as Wooggraben) into the Woogbach.

The Hainbach rises on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest at Roßberg. It leaves the Palatinate Forest between Frankweiler and Gleisweiler and feeds the unique Walddusche here. On its way to the east it flows through the local communities of Böchingen, Walsheim and Knöringen.

In Böchingen, numerous bridges and footbridges were built in the course of a renaturation of the Hainbach to provide children with a safe footpath to the kindergarten and the recreational facility in the village. Therefore, this part of the village is popularly called "Little Venice".
