Fronhausen, railway station
Marburg, St. Elizabeth's Church
The trail continues with a couple of beautiful views and guides you to Ockershausen through the forest. At the Hasenkopf a wonderful panoramic view is waiting for hikers. In the distance, you might even be able to see Marburg with its prominent castle. But before that, the Rosenlehrpfad leads you past 50 different wild roses and former cultural roses. Beautiful drawings by the French plant painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté can be seen on the information boards. After passing a couple of beautiful city villas, you will reach the flowery Marburg Schlosspark.
The Schlossberg offers a magnificent view of Marburg. On a board you will find interesting information about the Landgrafenschloss which was originally built as a castle in the 11th century. Moving on from the castle, the trail will only go downhill until you arrive at the Elisabethkirche where today’s stage comes to an end. The historical city of Marburg with its romantic old town and a wide range of cozy restaurants invites you to a well-deserved dinner.
