Cross-country skiing tour - "Berzdorf Halden" and Lake

From the car park at Berzdorf Lake walk to the Kirchplatz and the centre of the village. Then follow follow Berzdorfer Straße for a short while, after 300 metres turn left into Viehweg. Walk straight ahead until you reach the edge of the forest. (If the snow conditions are good, you can start skiing at the car park, otherwise it is not possible before the forest.)

Now ski above the Pliesnitz River. After the first ascent follow the course of the way to the right with the next ascent. Then follow the course of the way to the left. After a small rise you will reach a "crossroad" - turn right here and sollow the way. You will reach a road, turn right, where the way descends.

At the foot of the street you can see Berzdorf Lake. Follow the course of the street and ski in the direction of Blaue Lagune. Once at the sea, turn right and glide on the way along the shore back to the car park.

Partly there aren't cross-country ski-tracks. There are some steeper ascents. 

A rucksack with warm drinks and snacks should be enough.

Just stop for a while in the forest and listen to the birds. Or discover the different traces of the forest animals in the snow.

By car, from Görlitz via B99 in the direction of Zittau, at the roundabout turn in the direction of Tauchritz and drive to the address: Am Wasserschloss.

There are enough parking places on site.

From the city centre (e.g. Demianiplatz stop) take tram line 1 in the direction of Weinhübel to the final stop "Weinhübel". From there take bus line E in the direction of "Blaue Lagune" to the "Tauchritz Ort" stop. Then it is about 300 m to walk to the car park.
