The picturesquely situated Letzlingen Castle was built in the 19th century for the hunts of the Prussian kings and later German emperors.
Sleep where Otto von Bismarck slept - at the Jagschloss Letzlingen. The Tudor-style building is located south of Gardlegen in the Letzlingen district. Since the 16th century, electors, kings, emperors and statesmen have come to the game-rich Colbitz-Letzlingen Heath to hunt at court. From 1843 to 1868, the Prussian King Frederick William IV had a predecessor building negotiously redesigned as accommodation befitting his rank. The Jagscloss Letzlingen is the only Hohenzollern palace preserved in Saxony-Anhalt and today belongs to the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation.A permanent exhibition provides information on the history of the building and its use, and on the history of hunting. The Kaiserhof restaurant offers princely dining; hotel guests mainly reside in the Kavalier- and Kastellanhaus outbuildings and also in the Bismarck and wine towers.
