Outdoor Pool Lollar

The Lollarer Waldschwimmbad, beautifully situated on the edge of the forest with a view of the Lahn valley, is one of the most beautiful and largest outdoor swimming pools in the region. It boasts a beautiful sunbathing lawn with many trees, whose size of 13,000 m² allows you to retreat a little from the hustle and bustle of the swimming pool if necessary. In some years, records of up to 70,000 visitors are reached in one swimming season.

The Waldschwimmbad was built in 1955 and in 1991 extensive modernization work was carried out in the sanitary facilities, the changing rooms and the entrance area. The outdoor facilities, especially the children's area with a three-part paddling pool and a slide, were also redesigned. There are also various play facilities for the children, such as rocking animals or table tennis. In 2002, an additional beach volleyball court was built.

The pool is divided into a swimmer and non-swimmer area and has a length of 50 meters. The water depth is 80 cm to 4 m and is equipped with an adjacent diving zone (2 one-meter and 1 three-meter board). In addition, a children's slide was installed in the non-swimmer's pool area in 2000. The water is not heated and the temperature ranges from 20 to 23 degrees, depending on the weather. The supervision is carried out by a swimming supervisor.

Catering is provided by the swimming pool restaurant with terrace and kiosk at the bath.
