The winery

Since 1985, the Schwarzl family has been cultivating seven hectares of vineyards around the idyllic village of Ratsch on the South Styrian Wine Road.

Since 2015, young winemaker Johannes and his wife Katharina have been at the helm of the Schwarzl winery.

For young winemaker Johannes, wine is not only tradition, but also inspiration.

During his years abroad, he also gained this inspiration from modern wineries in New Zealand.
