Bridge

The Reichenbach Bridge on the Isar connects the Isar suburb on the left side of the Isar with the Au on the right side of the Isar.

The Reichenbach Bridge was named after the Bavarian inventor and engineer Georg Friedrich von Reichenbach. It was built in 1842 with a length of 140 meters and a width of 24 meters and is very popular with many pedestrians, joggers and cyclists because of the great view.

For example, from the bridge you can see the long chimneys of the combined heat and power plant, the St. Maximilian church or the German Museum.

Especially in summer, many Munich residents and tourists end the day at the Reichenbach Bridge with a cool beer from the Reichenbach kiosk, which describes itself as 'the coolest day and night kiosk in town'.
