After a sporty turn along the cross-country ski trails, you can take a break at the Ski-Klub Wunderthausen and fortify yourself with a snack in the rustic, cosy hut.
The “Pastorenwiese” is a DSV (German skiing association) Nordic Aktiv Zentrum and is part of the Nordicsport-Arena Sauerland. The cross-country trails are in the local area of Wunderthausen and at between 700 and 816 meters above sea level are the highest cross-country trails to the south of the Rothaarkamm hills. With lengths of 3.1, 4.1. and 8.7 kilometres (classic) and 3.3 kilometres (skating), the trails, which are machine-laid, are signposted with DSV signs. The Ski-Klub Wunderthausen also organises national cross-country skiing competitions on these trails.
Thanks to public funds and many hours of voluntary work by the club’s members, they succeeded in building the ski hut entirely themselves.
As soon as snow conditions permit, the trails are laid and the ski hut is opened.
Try the warming “Loipenteufel” (“cross-country devil”) or a delicious waffle.
Groups are also welcome with prior booking.
