Church

The present church was rebuilt after a fire in 1686 in the form of a simple baroque hall. A large lodge extension was added around 1750. The baroque interior with two-storey galleries and a pulpit altar is impressive. The patronage lodge and its furnishings have recently been restored. A high-quality gravestone shows the hereditary lord J. Chr. von Warnsdorf, who died in 1685. The war graves in the cemetery received new steles two years ago.

Directly next to the church, the former vicarage with the associated farm building and a piece of land still offers the image of a vicarage from the time when the vicar had to provide for himself through his own farming. With the conversion of the parsonage, built in 1840, into the "House by the Lake" as a place of history, traditions and meetings, the house is now used jointly by the Evangelical Reconciliation Church Parish of Görlitz, the Heimatverein Tauchritz e.V. and the Verein Oberlausitzer Bergleute e.V..A jointly installed exhibition moved into the upper floor of the house. In five rooms, the "Tauchritzer Stuben" (Tauchritz parlours) focus on former life and the trades in the village and look at the lignite mining that took place here and the associated changes to the landscape. The special features of the house include rediscovered historical wall and ceiling paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
