Traumpfädchen "Langscheider juniper view"
The spicy hideaway accompanies the hike into the realm of juniper heaths. Unforgettable remain the panoramic views of the Nettetal and the volcanic eastern Eifel, before it goes to the end of the tour through the Wabelsberg nature reserve. Finally, the juniper hut invites you to stop.

Traumpfädchen "Langscheider juniper view"
From the car park of Langscheid juniper hut, a short gravel path leads up to the juniper hut, where the round trip begins. Since it is recommended to run the round counterclockwise (better viewing directions), you first walk together with the dream path Wacholderweg past the hut over. First junipers and lush heather spread on the flank of Wabelsberg and provide a Nordic flair.
At the edge of the forest, a path leads right into the realm of juniper! Scented, they move close to the path and lead to a first refuge. Further, the path winds down through rustic forest of pines and junipers. Short opens a small clearing and from a bank offers a nice view towards Nettetal.
The path ends at an intersection (here the dream path turns right) and you now follow a comfortable path on the left through the sparse forest. Soon it gives way and an entertaining meadow passage offers beautiful views of the surroundings. Back in the forest, the track bends sharply left uphill. As an asphalt road crosses, it is a bit exhausting, but on springy meadow path, the small mountain is quickly conquered. At the top there is a dream couch with a fantastic panoramic view as a reward! Far sweeping the view and keeps hanging on the striking cone mountains of the volcanic Eifel.
Finally, continue the hike, turning westwards (briefly back to the dream path) and following the edge of the forest. As the dream path turns right, the Traumpfädchen pans left and completes the tour of the hilltop with the crossing of a grove. Arrived at the opposite edge of the forest, the tour continues on the right, now finally again with the dream path. Now the path between meadow and forest leads gently downhill to a resting place. Here you turn right on an asphalt road to which you remain faithful at the next intersection. Now you are back on the flank of the Wabelsberg and at the next opportunity you use a path to the left to get close to the juniper heath again. Too soon you reach the Wacholderhütte, which invites you to stop for a refreshment or to the idyllic summer terrace before returning to the car park.
